Manx rivers displaying good quality water

The latest monitoring of Manx rivers has revealed they are currently in their best state in years.

A recent study showed that nine out of 10 were of a good or better quality than usual this summer.

The results represented the best figures since 2006, with low pollution leading to generally ‘pristine’ quality.

Environment unit protection manager Phil Styles says he thinks the figures reflect growing awareness from the public:
