TT fan jailed for driving whilst disqualified

A TT fan has been jailed for eight months for driving his motorbike whilst disqualified on the Isle of Man.

47-year-old James Brearley, who's from Halifax, was stopped by police this week for driving in a dangerous manner on the Glen Helen to Ballaugh Road.

It turned out he was a disqualified driver - he was arrested and charged with three offences and appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.

Brearley was also handed a further five year driving ban and an order was made to exclude him from the Island for five years.

Inspector Derek Flint says the message is clear - action will be taken:
