Thu, 03 Dec 2015

Emergency services are out in force to find a missing aircraft that left the Isle of Man for Blackpool this morning.

Contact was lost with the plane approximately three miles to the west of Blackpool Airport shortly after 9am.

A large-scale multi-agency rescue has been launched - led by Blackpool Coastguard with police, paramedics and the Blackpool RNLI.

One lone pilot is reported to be onboard.
