DoI seeks approval for £8.24m housing project

Fri, 07 Jul 2017

The Department of Infrastructure will seek approval to spend over £8m building 51 new homes in Ballasalla.

The housing will be the final two phases of the Clagh Vane housing development, and would be constructed on the former Royal Naval Air Service camp.

The DoI already has planning permission for the project, but need Tynwald approval to fund the build.

The development includes energy efficient housing, bespoke homes for disabled tenants and up to seven first time buyer properties.

If approved, contractors would start work on the site in September, with the first homes ready next year.
