Jade Burden

Team Isle of Man's Jade Burden has gone straight through to the quarter finals of the women's lightweight boxing at the Commonwealth Games having been given a bye.

 

It means she'll face either Megan Reid of Scotland, or Gemma Richardson of England.

 

Burden said, "It's a little frustrating that I can't get straight into it and have to wait longer, but it's in my mind one win away from a medal and putting the Isle of Man on the map".

 

The bye was awarded due to the numbers competing and was subject to a draw.
