Ayre Clay Target Club Report

Three squads of shooters took part in the third round of Ayre Clay Target Club’s winter Down the Line league at Blue Point in cool but bright conditions.

 

Junior shooter Jack Kneen was the leader after the first round, the only competitor on the day to hit all 25 targets with four second barrels for a score of 71/75.  Martin Kneen and Dave Corlett were one point behind on 24/70.

 

Jack shot the highest score in the second round with a 24/68 to give him the win with 49/139, three points clear of the rest of the field, including Dad Marty who scored 46/136 to take joint second with Phil Ward on the same score.

 

Results:

A Class: 1, Marty Kneen and Phil Ward 46/136; 3, Kevin Oates, 46/132.

B Class: 1, Alan Kinrade 46/134; 2, Dave Corlett 43/125; 3, Bob Corlett 41/115.

C Class: 1, Jack Kneen 49/139; 2, Ted Kermeen 45/128; 3, Paul Mihailovits 43/125.

 

This week at Blue Point is the fourth round of the English Skeet league, entries close at 10.15am.
