Ayre Clay Target Club held their annual Christmas Shoot at Blue Pont on Sunday. Twenty nine shooters took part in the 50 target English Sporting competition in windy but dry conditions.

Neil Parsons was the victor, scoring 45/50. Kevin Oates was second on 44. there was a tie for third between Dave Corlett and Paul Mihailovits on 42.

Random pairs were drawn to choose from the prizes which ranged from the club sponsored topside of beef, supplied locally by W E Teare butchers of Ramsey to bottles of wine, spirits, chocolates, cartridges and a mystery prize supplied by Fred Waggett, which he won himself so it is still a mystery!

Jack Kneen and Chris Parker went home with the top prize of beef with an aggregate score of 73. The other prize winners were drawn from the hat.

This week is a 50 target English Sporting League shoot kindly sponsored by Chrystals Estate Agents. Entries close at 10.15am.
