Kevin Oates won Ayre Clay Target Club’s annual 100 target Manx Petroleum Trophy for English Sporting at Blue Point on Sunday, in bright sunny conditions.

 

Twenty eight shooters took part in the 100 target competition which incorporated a 50 target league shoot, kindly sponsored by Harding Lewis Limited.  Oates scored 70 to take the win, with Alan Kinrade and Marty Kneen in joint second on 68.

 

Results of Manx Petroleum Trophy shoot:

High Gun, and A class winner Kevin Oates 70/100.  2=, Marty Kneen and Alan Kinrade 68.

B Class: 1, Ben Richards 64; 2, George Davies 59; 3, Jake Brew 53.

C Class: 1, Richard Kneen 45; 2, Jordan Dougherty 37; 3= John Kneen and Dan Walker 30.

A Class: 1, Paul Mihailovits 35; 2= Jack Kneen and Marty Kneen.

B Class: 1, Ben Richards33; 2, Brian Mylrea 29; 3, Jake Brew 27.

C Class: 1, Richard Kneen 25; 2, Wayne Tomlinson 22; 3, Ted Davis 21.

 

This week’s competition is the Tommy Shimmin Memorial Trophy for English Skeet.  This incorporates a 50 target league competition, kindly sponsored by Penketh-Millar Architectural Design.  Entries close at 10.15am
