A delighted Alex Trafford during his memorable shoot on Monday evening

Teenager, Alex Trafford, proved on Monday evening that persistence pays off in the end. Trafford has been experiencing difficulties adapting to a new rifle stock and his problems seem to have been finally overcome, claiming wins in round 8 of The Empire Garage Tynwald Shield, Class C win in The Osborn Carpets (first 600) round 8, Class C win in the Isle of Man Rifle Association’s Jamaica Trophy round 1 and The Sadler Junior Championship round 8 and in the process, posting both decimal and standard personal best scores, a terrific evenings work! Well done Alex. Another junior Rhys Keown also claimed personal best scores in all competitions. Harry Creevy posted wins in all other scratch 60 shot matches with Mike Duncalf and Gemma Kermode in hot pursuit.
