British Cycling has announced the 2017 national road race championships will take place in the Isle of Man.

The event will take place in June, with road race champions being crowned on June 25th.

The Island previously bid for last year's championships, but lost out to Stockton - hosting a Grand Prix event instead.

Manx cyclists have featured heavily in the championships in recent years, with Peter Kennaugh and Mark Cavendish winning three of the last four men's road race titles, while the latter was also the runner up in 2016.
