A variety of rounds were shot at Onchan on Sunday as the Indoor season comes to a close. Since it was a Handicap week and the tables return results to a mean standard of 1440, the differing round could be counted against each other.

Dave Moore won the scratch contest between Pete Mumford and himself on a Vegas target (three small faces arranged in a triangle) but found himself mid-way down the table after the handicap was applied.

The Gents Recurve provided the largest field of the day with Dave Berry, Josh Trafford, David Smith and Carl Moon all attempting a Portsmouth, while Matt Elliott elected to shoot a WA18 round. Josh Trafford, as usual, took the scratch honours even though he was slightly the worse for wear after a night out in Peel. Dave Berry put in a season’s best score to come second both in scratch terms and after handicapping. David Smith added 22 points to his pb for the round. This was only good enough for fourth place in scratch terms but after the handicap was applied David ran out the clear winner overall.

The Junior Gents Recurve saw Toby Young once again clinch the scratch victory. Jacob Brookes added 15 points to his pb to finish second with Aaron Pannell-Cottier coming third. After the handicap was applied it was Aaron who took the last place on the podium in the overall standings.

Lesley Sleight and Colin Moore both elected to shoot a Worcester round - Lesley on her Trad bow and Colin Barebow. Colin not only recorded a pb for the round but also set a new Club Record into the bargain.
