Cracking Kirk Michael end Scottish league on a high

Kirk Michael had a good finish in  Scotland and Division 3 of the STS Team Prone League. Despite some shaky cores in the run-in they had a draw in their second last match and a win in the final outing. They are the first non-Scottish team to take part in Scottish Target Shooting's new events so congratulations to all in this club which has often struggled for numbers this season. They were too ltae to enter the Ulsters and so this gave them a new challenge. Alex Trafford started the ball rolling with a 100 in his first set of cards.

The club's Perryn Watson commented: 'We are naturally thrilled to have done so well! Really didn't expect it as there was stiff competition in our division. I think we will certainly look to enter again and with our newly-expanded membership we may even try for two teams!'

JB Ritchie and G Jones Memorial Trophies wins

Congratulations to Sue Keown for victory in the JB Ritchie and Christian Eaton in the G Jones competitions.

Sue Keown, of new Winter Indoor League champions Port St Mary, was left delighted by her individual success but still very modest.

'Don't know what to say really,' she admitted, 'obviously chuffed. It's nice to win a competition that didn't have a handicap attached to it. This was my first indoor season so a nice end to it as my indoor shooting has been up and down.'
