Rachel Glover took another step towards next year's Commonwealth Games in Australia after she and fellow Manx shooter Tracey Skelton spent a weekend in Scotland competing in the STS Three-position competition in Aberdeen followed by a 70-mile trip south to Dundee to take part in a prone Grand Prix.

Rachel picked up another Minimum Consideration Score  in the 3P event to give her a boost for next year's Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

She qualified for the final with a great score of 557 and went on to win silver in the final with a score of 433.5 behind winner Seonaid McIntosh.  This is the sixth time Rachel has achieved the qualifying mark.

So, does she feel confident she can be in the Isle of Man squad?

'I think so,' he said. 'I should be okay but there are so many other sports who have so many other people who have qualified, I just have to keep putting the scores in and hope for the best.'

Tracey was sixth in the 3P final.

Kirk Michael shooter Alex Trafford won the sixth round of the Junior Championship at St John's.
