New Year, New Goals for Island's Sports Stars

With resolutions fresh in mind, young athletes, parents and coaches kicked off the new year with renewed energy at the Isle of Man Sport Aid Academy’s first event, held on Friday.

The athletes were joined for the session by former Commonwealth Games gymnast Grace Harrison who was able to share her experience with the group.

To start the session, attendees had the choice of three workshops - ‘Sleep, Rest & Recovery’, ‘Focus and Concentration’ or ‘Faster – how to develop and improve speed’ – which was selected based on their own perceived needs and aims. All attendees then came together for the group workshop, ‘Communication Skills’.

The Academy is supported by leading independent trust and corporate services provider SMP Partners and local eGaming firm Newfield.
