Ramsey Grammar School Win Intermediates Basketball Final

Ramsey Grammar School Intermediate (Years 9 and 10) basketball team beat CRHS in a close final at the NSC last Tuesday.

Having made a strong start, Ramsey put the pressure on the Southerners and opened a 10 point lead at half time. As the squad were tested in the 3rd quarter the gap quickly closed to just 2 points. However, some cool shooting, excellent rebounding and tight defence ensured that RGS went into the final quarter leading by 6 points.

As the clock ran down CRHS found themselves in foul trouble and Ramsey continued to score from the free throw line. At the final hooter RGS had extended their lead back to 10 points to clinch the title.
