Ravens Suffer Last Minute Defeat By Padiham

Sun, 09 Oct 2022

FC Isle of Man have suffered a last minute defeat as visitors Padiham scored in extra time.

It was in the 93rd minute of the match that Joel Melia put the ball in to the Raven's net and gave a 1-0 win for the Lancashire side.

Manager Chris Bass snr says this is a higher level of football and that the Team did have "at lot to learn".

Bass went on to say "it was sad to lose the game in the fashion they did".

When the sides last met in August, the Ravens beat Padiham 1-0 with a Jack McVey goal from a penalty.

FC Isle of Man have lost nine games out of fourteen, with four wins and draw; it puts them at 17th in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division.
