Education and Children Minister Eddie Teare
Two MHKs have branded Education and Children Minister Eddie Teare a megalomaniac, after it was announced there could be job losses in the Isle of Man College refectory.
North Douglas MHKs John Houghton and Bill Henderson have issued to joint statements on what they've described as "shambolic actions" by the Department.
THe DEC says no final decision has been made, but that outsourcing the catering at the College is an option that's being considered.
Despite this, the MHKs say staff there believe they are out of a job at the end of the summer term.
The Department estimates the canteen will lose over £182,000 this year.
It says it will make every effort to redeploy the 16 refectory staff if the operation is outsourced.
Mr Houghton and Mr Henderson both say they will be raising the matter at the July sitting of Tynwald.
