A Douglas man must complete 120 hours community service after damaging five cars.

20 year old Anthony James Bridson admitted the offence, which was committed in May.

Police attended Westbourne Drive after one person found their car damaged. The officers found four others also damaged in the area.

Bridson came out of his house and told the police that he was responsible.

He admitted being very drunk the night before and was going to go to the police station when he saw the police had arrived.

As well as completing community service, he must pay the damage, totalling £1448, and was banned from licenced premises for three months.
