Second death in MGP crash

Manx Grand Prix chiefs have confirmed a second rider has died after the crash in today's MGP junior race.

No details have been confirmed on the second rider however,

Twenty eight year old James Adam was named as the first death in the incident earlier in a collision at Alpine Corner near Ballaugh Bridge shortly before 11am.

The Manx motorcycle club has confirmed that he was a serving Royal Marine who was racing in his second MGP and from Prestwick in Scotland.

An air ambulance was called to the scene but Mr Adam was declared dead at the scene.

Its also been confirmed that in a separate collision this morning at Greeba Castle rider number 40 Tim Venables is in a critical condition at Noble's hospital.
