Isle of Man to consider child benefit cuts

The Chief Minister says the Island could follow the UK by cutting child benefit for higher earners.

Tony Brown has been attending the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham this week, where it was announced that the UK will be aboloshing child benefit where one parent earns over £44,000 a year.

Currently, the Island has a reciprocal agreement with the UK over Child Benefit.

Mr Brown says it is something the Island is looking at ahead of next year's budget [play clip]
