MHK calls for bus network committee

An MHK is calling for an investigation into to the new bus network.

North Douglas MHK John Houghton will ask Tynwald to appoint three members to a Committee to look into matters leading up to when the changes were brought in.

He will ask that the committee report back to Tynwald Court no later than March next year.

Mr Houghton and his constituency colleague Bill Henderson have continually spoken out about the new network, saying the service for their constituents is worse now than before the review into the bus service.

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney has refused to withdraw the changes.
