The man convicted of the Demesne Road murder is due to be sentenced later this morning.

35 year old Simon Paul Leece was found guilty in August of starting the fire that resulted in the death of builder Terry Losh last March.

Deemster Birkett, who oversaw the trial, told Leece he will be serving a life sentence, but that a psychiatric report was needed to determine the minimum length of time to be served.

Leece was also convicted of starting fires in Peveril Street and Clark Street.
