Social media shows diversity of police work

The Manx Inspector who set up a Facebook fan page for the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team says tweeting about incidents shows how much work officers do.

Inspector Derek Flint's page has over 700 fans, who have been using the site to discuss crime in the north of the Island.

Yesterday the Manchester Constabulary twittered every crime that was reported to them, ranging from serious assaults, to a person asking for advice on a bank account.
