A boat has been deliberately damaged in the boat park in Castletown Harbour.

Between Friday last week and Monday a sharp implement has been used to cut the boat's plastic cover.

Police believe this may have been done so the offender could gain shelter.

Officers say the boat owners who use the park are becoming frustrated at the amount of damaged being caused to their boats, and that it isn't a playground for children.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Castletown Police Station.
