Seized funds could be used to fund Police operations

The isle of man financial crimes unit has revealed that assets seized after the arrest of a local criminal gang could end up being used to fight crime.

12 people were arrested over a 2 day period and 8 were charged with money laundering and drugs offences.

If convicted their criminal assets could be seized and used to fund Police operations.

Detective Inspector John Scarffe lead the investigation.
