Isle of Man motorists asked to take extra care

Mon, 08 Nov 2010

Motorists on the Isle of Man are being asked to drive with extra caution today.

Persistent rain has caused localised flooding across the Island, and high winds of over 65 mph have brought down trees in Sulby Glen Road.

The Department of Infrastructure are working to clear the trees but they estimate that the closure will remain in place until midmorning.

Large amounts of standing water have also been reported to Energy FM on Alpine Corner and near The Test Centre in Tromode.
