The Community, Culture and Leisure Minister has hit back at claims the new bus timetables cost four times more to produce than he told Tynwald.

David Cretney says the timetables did cost more to print than the old A5 style, but he had told the Island's parliament about this.

Yesterday, former Departmental member Brenda Cannell made a personal statement in Tynwald stating the booklets cost 40p each, whilst Mr Cretney had claimed they would be 10p each.

The Minister says he actually told Tynwald that the timetables would cost around 10p more than the old format, and has released a statement saying the actual cost was 33.8p per copy.

He added that he's disappointed by Mrs Cannell's allegation that he had misled Tynwald, and that the full Hansard record explains the situation.
