Record-breaking winds and snow have been blamed for a 5.4% fall in passenger numbers at Ronaldsway.

Just over 55,000 people passed through the Island's airport in November, over 3000 less than in the same month in 2009.

Storms at the start of the month and wintry showers at the end led to numerous cancellations throughout November.

Aer Arann's London City route was the worst affected, suffering a 39% loss, equating to over 2000 passengers.

The weather has continued to hit the airport in December.
