A number of roads have re-opened as snow and ice continue to melt across the Island.

The Mountain Road was opened yesterday afternoon, along with several other routes on higher ground.

The only routes remaining closed are the Brandywell Road - which is now due to open at 12pm - and Glen Mooar Road , which is to allow for repairs to a bridge following a crash.

However, the police are urging motorists to take care across the Island, as some ice remains, and there are also areas of localised flooding
