Election candidate will not spend big on campaign

Tue, 04 Jan 2011

The Liberal Vannin Party candidate who will stand for the Constituency of Ayre has gone on record as saying he will not spend tens of thousands of pounds to try and win the seat.

Pat Ayres will contest the seat that is currently held by the minister for education Eddie Teare in Septembers General election and has told Energy FM news he will use the minimum amount necessary to get his manifesto across.

This comes in the light of a consultation currently being undertaken by government on election spending.
