High winds batter Island

Fri, 04 Feb 2011

The Dept of Infrastructure's emergency team had a busy night clearing a number of fallen trees.

At least 6 trees were blown down as winds of up to 60 mph battered the island, causing disruption to motorists.

A spokesman from the Emergency control room has confirmed they have all now been cleared, but are still urging motorists to drive with caution as there may still be debris on the roads
