More roads scrutiny in HoK

Fri, 04 Feb 2011

The Island's roads will come under scrutiny again in the House of Keys next week.

Michael MHK David Cannan will ask Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne whether his Department has timetable for repairing the roads after wintry weather left potholes in many of the Island's highways.

Meanwhile Onchan MHK Peter Karran will ask more questions about the Richmond Hill Improvement Scheme.

He'll ask Mr Gawne whether any additional costs were incurred, and whether the scheme has increased the pension liabilities for those working on the scheme.

The works had been due to finish in December, but were only finished last weekend, after remedial works to make the road surface safe were carried out
