Fri, 25 Feb 2011

Manx2 is to stop operating between Belfast and Cork just weeks after a plane crash that left six people dead.

The airline which is based at Hangar 9 at Ronaldsway is stopping the route from 14th March.

The desicion was made following a review of the service, which came after the crash at Cork Airport on 10th February.

Four passengers and two crew members were killed and six other people injured when the plane crashed while landing in fog.

A preliminary report into the cause is expected in the next few weeks.
