There's a call for the government to step in and sort out the derelict site of the former outdoor swimming pool in Port Erin.

The crumbling remains of the old Victorian baths lie north of the main beach.

The land is currently in private ownership and the local commissioners have been campaigning for years to force the owner to tidy the site up.

Now Rushen MHK Juan Watterson is to bring the issue to the House of Keys.

He'll ask the Infrastructure Minister if his department considers the old pool to be ruinous or derelict - and if a compulsory purchase order can used.
