No approach made to IOM airport by Ellan Vannin Airways

Mon, 09 May 2011

The boss of Ronaldsway Airport says she's not been approached by a company claiming to be launching new air services to and from the Island.

The company calls itself Ellan Vannin Airways and its web site states it's begun recruiting cabin crew ready for the launch in 2012.

Its address is given as Euromanx House at Ronaldsway Airport and says it will be moving into the building in July.

The company says it will be operating a fleet of Embraer jets, but doesn't say which destinations it will be flying to.

The Three Legs of Man design on the tail of the plane shown on the website is the wrong way round.

Anne Reynolds says nobody from the company has been in touch with her which would be normal for anyone considering a venture like this.

It's Manchester-based business called Indulgence, which appears to have an interest in nightclubs and luxury chocolates.

Energy FM News has been unable to contact anyone at either company to confirm whether or not the claims are genuine.
