Public could get more access to court information

Tue, 10 May 2011

In future it may be easier for the public to find out what cases are going before the Island's courts.

Public and press access to information is under review by the General Registry.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran has been asking questions about the current system in the House of Keys recently as he wants it to be more transparent.

Treasury Minister Anne Craine says she's happy to liaise with the Chief Registrar about bringing in new court list procedures.[Play audio file below]
