Driver cut from car following crash

A driver had to be cut from his car following a collision on the Mountain Road.

The Ford Focus RS was travelling from Ramsey to Douglas when it crashed at Guthrie's Memorial on Saturday evening.

The motorist was complaining of chest and neck pain, but remained conscious whilst fire crews cut him from the vehicle.

Police kept the road closed for a period whilst they investigated the cause of the crash.

It's thought no other vehicles were involved
