Irvings advised on safety following festival failure

The promoter of the Isle of Man Bay Festival says his family has taken advice on personal security following the cancellation of the event.

Jonathon Irving claims police have been advising his family, following fears they could be targeted.

Some members of the public are angry at the cancellation, with some ticketholders not convinced they'll get their money back.
