Ben my Chree to enter dry dock 18th to 20th June

Thu, 09 Jun 2011

The Ben my Chree is to go into dry dock next weekend.

The vessel will be out of service between the 18th and 20th of June to allow a damaged part to be removed.

On the Saturday, the Ben will now sail to Birkenhead, with all its crossings cancelled until Monday afternoon, when the vessel will sail from Birkenhead to the Island at 3.00pm.

No Liverpool sailings on the Manannan have been affected.

Passengers booked to travel on the Ben my Chree on these dates are asked to contact the Steam Packet Company to transfer onto another sailing or obtain a refund.

The Ben my Chree suffered damage to a bow thruster during a sailing last month, meaning a tug is currently needed for docking in some weather conditions.
