Bike passenger taken to hospital following pile-up

A motorcycle passenger has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a four vehicle crash on the Laxey to Ramsey Coast Road.

At around 3.45 yesterday afternoon the collision occured close to the Hibernia junction.

The pile-up involved a red Honda motorbike, a white Triumph motorcycle, a red Renault Megane and a white Vauxhall Movano van.

The pillion passenger from the Triumph was taken to Noble's with serious injuries.

The road remained closed for around four hours whilst police conducted inquiries.
