Crashes and arrests up during TT2011

The number of crashes and arrests over TT were both up on last year.

Over the fortnight there were 4 fatal collisions and 32 which saw serious injuries sustained, all of which involved motorcycles.

This compared to 1 fatality and 22 serious crashes in 2010.

Meanwhile arrests were up by 16 to one 198.

Over 75% of those arrested were Manx residents.
