New buses arrive on Island

The Department of Community Culture and Leisure is adding 12 new buses to its fleet.

Two of the silver Mercedes single-deckers have arrived on the Island.

They have capacity for 70 people.

They'll replace some of the old vehicles that have been in service since the late 1980s.

The old buses are in poor condition and leak in wet weather.

Minister David Cretney says it's part of a bigger investment scheme.[take cut]
