More points lost for Cav

Sat, 23 Jul 2011

It was another tough day in the Tour de France for Mark Cavendish.

The Manx cyclist missed the cut off time for the second stage running, and was docked 20 points.

However, his nearest rival in the points classification also struggled, and was given the same penalty.

Cav has a 15 point lead in the race for the green jersey.

Today sees the individual time trial, with tomorrow's final stage likely to end in a sprint finish on the Champs Elysees
