Traffic management plans in place for Royal Show

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

The Royal Manx Agricultural show is moving to a new home this year and police hope they'll be able to keep traffic issues to a minimum.

The event is being held at Knockaloe Farm in Patrick this Friday and Saturday.

It was previously held in Sulby.

There've been worries about congestion and police have come up with a plan they hope will keep things moving on the roads.

People travelling from the north and east will be directed along the Patrick Road and they should access this via Ballacraine and the Hope in St Johns.

Cars coming from the south are asked to avoid Foxdale and travel via the Round Table, Dalby and Glen Maye.

People are also being encouraged to use the extra buses that have been put on to service the show.

Police will be directing traffic in the area.
