Manannan back to full speed

Manannan is now sailing on full power after repair work was carried out.

The Steam Packet's fastcraft has been running slowly since July after one of its gearboxes was damaged.

It's thought floating debris being sucked into the engine jets was to blame.

Meanwhile, only a very small number of people took advantage of today's extra Liverpool sailing.

Just 37 passengers were onboard when Manannan left for Liverpool this morning.

The extra crossing was put on to accommodate travellers who were booked on sailings that were cancelled earlier in the week because of bad weather.
