Inquests to resume into deaths of TT racer and visitor

The inquest into the death of a TT rider killed whilst racing at this year's event is to resume later this week.

34 year old Derek Brien died following a crash at Gorse Lea during the Supersport race.

In an earlier hearing, the coroner found the County Meath rider died as a result of massive blunt force trauma.

The race was red flagged following the incident and re-run later in the day.

An inquest into the death of a TT visitor is also to resume.

36 year old Anthony Capstick from Skipton in North Yorkshire died following a crash at Graham Memorial on the Mountain Road in practice week

The inquest into Mr Captick's death continues on Wednesday at 11.00am, with the hearing into Mr Brien's death scheduled for 2.00pm on the same day
