Man dies after crash at the Creg ny Baa

A 21 year old man has died over a month after he was involved in a crash on the Mountain Road.

Christopher Heaney from Onchan was the driver of a Ford Scorpion that crashed into a wall near the Creg ny Baa on 3rd September.

At the time police reported that Mr Heaney and a 19 year old woman were both in a serious condition.

Mr Heaney was taken to Walton Neurological Hospital but the treatments were unsuccessful.

He passed away in Noble's Hospital yesterday after being flown back to the Island to be with his family.

Police say they are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.

The female passenger is making a good recovery from her injuries.
