Busy sittings for House of Keys and Leg Co

Tue, 25 Oct 2011

Michael Primary School playing fields, jobs for school leavers and breast surgery are amongst the topics on the agenda for this week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Newly elected Michael MHK Alfred Cannan has a number of questions regarding the land swap at Michael School.

Liberal Vannin's Kate Beecroft wants to know about plans for an incentive to get school leavers into work.

As well as question time, the House of Keys will also elect a Deputy Speaker today.

Meanwhile, Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan will make a statement regarding the election of a Member of the Legislative Council, following Clare Christian's election as President.

In the Legislative Council, Eddie Lowey will ask why the Isle of Man wasn't represented at the recent UK political party conferences.

The House of Keys sits from 10.00, with Leg Co sitting from 10.30.
