Older iPod Nanos could pose safety risk

Sat, 19 Nov 2011

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is issuing a safety warning about older model Apple iPod Nanos.

Some batteries in the 1st Generation music players have been found to overheat and cause a hazard.

The models were on sale between September 2005 and December 2006.

Apple is replacing the faulty Nanos free of charge.

More details can be found on the support section of the company's website.

No other iPod models are affected.
