Witnesses sought following fatal crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in which one person died yesterday afternoon.

A blue Rover 75 collided with the wall at the Woodbourne Hotel on Brunswick Road in Douglas at around 1.00pm.

Both occupants of the car were taken to Noble's Hospital where one was pronounced dead.

Officers investigating the crash say the circumstances leading to the collision are unclear.

Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who saw the Rover prior to the crash is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Police Headquarters.
